To strengthen the foundation of safe production, sharpen practical operational skills, and build team momentum, JSJ’s Zhaoqing No. 2 Plant recently successfully hosted the “Workers’ Cup” Safety Month Forklift Skills Competition.
The competition was open to all forklift operators in the company. With the goals of promoting learning, training, and safety through competition, it comprehensively evaluated employees’ professional standards and safe operating capabilities.
The competition featured a well-structured and rigorous format, divided into two main sections: theoretical assessment and practical skills contest, ensuring a balanced evaluation of both knowledge and hands-on ability.
Theoretical Assessment Focused on core topics such as forklift safety operating procedures, daily equipment maintenance, and safe work standards. This helped solidify employees’ theoretical understanding of safety and deeply instilled safety principles.
Practical Skills Contest This segment tested operators’ proficiency, precision, and mental composure. Participants were required to drive the forklift along a designated route, precisely avoid various obstacle poles, strictly avoid line-pressing or collisions, and complete a smooth reverse parking maneuver.
A highlight of the event was the challenging and entertaining Balloon Water Pickup challenge. Competitors had to carefully maneuver the forklift to lift a balloon into a cup of water without bursting it. This test pushed operators’ finesse, attention to detail, and steady control, vividly showcasing JSJ employees’ commitment to excellence in their roles.
Empowering with Skills, Advancing with Safety
This forklift skills competition provided an excellent platform for employees to exchange expertise, showcase their talents, and improve together. It not only recognized outstanding performers but also ignited learning enthusiasm and competitive spirit across the workforce. At the same time, it helped standardize on-site operations and effectively enhanced both the safety and efficiency of forklift operations.
